Pakistan failed to defend itself from India’s aggression: Ex Pak air marshal admits on camera

Amid the ongoing strategic conflict between India and Pakistan, big news has come out. A former Pakistani air marshal has admitted on camera that Pakistan was completely helpless in front of India’s Brahmos missile attacks. He has admitted that Pakistan’s precious AWACS aircraft was destroyed.

AWACS is a surveillance aircraft, which is called the sky’s eye. Pakistan’s retired Air Marshal Masood Akhtar said in an interview that India destroyed an Air Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft during the missile attack on military bases on the night of 9 and 10 May. Missiles kept coming one after the other from India and Pakistan were unable to give any concrete reply to them.

Akhtar said in the interview, “They (Indian Army) fired four consecutive BrahMos surface-to-surface missiles or air-to-surface missiles, I don’t know exactly. Pakistani pilots rushed to secure their aircraft, but the missiles kept coming, and unfortunately, the fourth missile hit the hangar of Bholari airbase, where one of our AWACS was parked. It got damaged.”

According to reports, Air Marshal Masood Akhtar said that Pakistani Air Force personnel were also killed in this attack. However, he denied knowing whether the missile with which India attacked was surface-to-surface or air-to-surface. Bholari Airbase is Pakistan’s newest airbase. It was inaugurated in December 2017 and is one of the most modern main operational bases in the country.

The BrahMos missile, jointly developed by India and Russia, is known for its high speed and accuracy. In addition to being able to hit targets three times faster than sound, this missile also leaves the enemy with little time to react. With its help, India’s Operation Sindoor was successful; this was the first time that a country successfully attacked the air force bases of a nuclear-armed nation.

There is a lot of anger and concern within Pakistan regarding this attack. This statement of the former Air Marshal of Pakistan has weakened the military image of Pakistan at the international level and shows how effective and deadly India’s missile strategy is proving to be.
