Kareena Kapoor Khan is a name that needs no introduction in Indian cinema. From her dazzling debut in Refugee to iconic performances in films like Jab We Met, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Omkara and Tanu Weds Manu, Kareena has carved a niche for herself with her versatility, charm, and that unmistakable screen presence.
Over the years, she’s become one of Bollywood’s most beloved and bankable stars. Recently, Kareena lit up the stage at the World Audio Visual and Entertainment (WAVES) Summit 2025 held at the Jio Convention Centre in Mumbai.

She joined a lively panel alongside Vijay Deverakonda and Karan Johar, and true to form, delivered a moment that got everyone talking—especially when the topic shifted to Hollywood.
During the discussion, Karan Johar joked, “Sab log bus Hollywood pakad pakad ke jaa rahe hai” (Everyone’s just rushing to Hollywood). Kareena’s reply was refreshingly honest and full of desi pride:
“I’m very happy with Indian movies and acting,” she said. With her signature flair, she added, “Bada mazza aata hai, humare Hindi gaano pe dance karna, Hindi dialogues bolna. ‘Bhatinda ki sikhni hu bhai’ baar baar bolna achaa lagta hai.”
(Translation: I really enjoy dancing to our Hindi songs and speaking Hindi dialogues. I love saying “Bhatinda ki Sikhni hu bhai” over and over again.)
That one line summed up exactly why Kareena remains so relatable and loved by fans across India—she celebrates her roots unapologetically.
On the professional front, Kareena was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s ensemble action film Singham Again, sharing screen space with stars like Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, Akshay Kumar, and Deepika Padukone.
Her next release is the much-anticipated crime drama Daayra, directed by Meghna Gulzar, where she stars alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film delves into serious themes like crime, punishment, and justice—promising a powerful performance from Bebo.
While others may be chasing Hollywood dreams, Kareena’s heart beats for Bollywood—and she’s proudly owning it.
