Elon Musk is no longer called Elon Musk on Twitter, changes his profile name, catch details

Elon Musk, the world-famous tech billionaire and CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, is known for more than just his companies. He is also very active on social media, especially on X (formerly called Twitter), a platform he now owns.

From posting memes to making major announcements, Musk often surprises his followers. And this time, he’s back in the headlines for a curious reason: he is no longer calling himself Elon Musk on X. Yes, you read that right!

Recently, Musk changed his display name on X to “Gorklon Rust.” This strange and cryptic name has left many users confused and curious. Why did he pick this name? And what does it even mean?

Let’s break it down.

What Does ‘Gorklon Rust’ Mean?

The name “Gorklon Rust” seems to be a mix of a few things. First, it includes the word “Grok,” which is the name of the AI chatbot made by Musk’s company, xAI. This chatbot is designed to give smart, witty, and helpful responses—kind of like a next-level version of a virtual assistant.

The second part, “Rust,” likely refers to the Rust programming language, which is used in many tech projects—including possibly within xAI. So the name may reflect Musk’s focus on artificial intelligence and technology.

But that’s not all. Believe it or not, “Gorklon Rust” is also the name of a meme coin being traded on the Solana blockchain. This coin is available on decentralized platforms like PumpSwap, Raydium, and Meteora.

This isn’t the first time Elon Musk has changed his name on X. Earlier this year, he changed it to “Kekius Maximus” and even updated his profile picture to a meme of Pepe the Frog playing a video game.

Interestingly, “Kekius Maximus” also became a trending cryptocurrency. At one point in December 2024, it saw a massive surge of nearly 500% in just 24 hours!
