A shocking case has come to light: Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan Munir Ahmed has been dismissed from the job. It is alleged that he married a Pakistani woman and kept her hidden even after her visa expired. This matter was a threat to national security, so he was dismissed immediately.

According to security rules, any security force jawan has to take permission before marrying abroad, especially if that marriage is with a citizen of an enemy country like Pakistan. Munir Ahmed did not inform the CRPF about this but married a Pakistani woman and kept her hidden even after her visa expired.
According to sources, the visa of the jawan’s wife, Minal Khan, had expired on 22 March 2025. The Jawan also hid this from the department. He also hid from the department the fact that his wife had applied for a long-term visa. In this regard, a CRPF report also said that it seems that Munir has also misled the court by hiding the truth.
On 28 February 2024, Meenal came to India from Pakistan on a tourist visa. After marriage, she is living at Jawan Munir’s house in Jammu. Her visa was valid only till 22 March 2025. It is alleged that Munir married a Pakistani girl without getting an NOC, and then he kept her illegally in India even after her visa expired. His actions raised serious concerns; he violated national security rules.
On 29 April, the High Court stayed the next hearing on Meenal’s visit to Pakistan till 14 May. CRPF officials say that prima facie disciplinary action is required against their Jawan Munir Ahmed in this case. Since Munir had first written a letter to his commandant in CRPF on 18 October 2023 seeking permission to marry a Pakistani citizen girl. The matter was under consideration in the department. Despite this, it was later found out that Jawan Munir had married her without the department giving permission for his marriage.
