Conflicts over a possible Indian attack created a fearful atmosphere in Pakistan, prompting it to seek help from Trump. The Pakistani envoy ran to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Wednesday and urged him to calm India’s anger. He requested him to mediate between India and Pakistan and help reduce the conflict.

According to sources, Sharif asked Rubio to convince India to exercise restraint in its rhetoric and show responsibility amid the conflict between the two countries after the Pahalgam attack. India’s Modi government has given operational freedom to the army, due to which Pakistan is nervous. Along with the Pakistani government, the army is also in alert mode. If India attacks, Pakistan will not be able to stand.
Pakistan calls for international support
Pakistan PM Shahbaz Sharif told US Secretary of State Marco Rubio about the entire situation, starting from the Pahalgam attack. Sharif also appealed to Rubio to put pressure on India not to attack. Late at night, Rubio also spoke to Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar. Rubio condemned the terrorist attack in Pahalgam and said that the US fully stands with India in the fight against terrorism.
In response to the Pahalgam terror attack, Rubio expressed his condolences to the victims. Along with this, Rubio also appealed to India to reduce the rising tension against Pakistan and be cautious in taking any kind of retaliatory action. India has directly blamed Pakistan for supporting the attackers and promoting cross-border terrorism.
Other reports claimed Sharif told Rubio that India’s provocation will only divert Pakistan’s attention from its ongoing efforts to defeat terrorism, especially from terrorist groups like ISKP (Islamic State Khorasan Province), TTP (Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan), and BLA (Baloch Liberation Army), which are operating from Afghan soil.
Pakistan fears that India can take military action against it at any time. Fearing an attack from India, Pakistan has put its army on alert and is sending defense assets to the border areas.
