Recently, shocking news came from a madrasa in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh. Students of this madrasa could not write their names in English. District Minority Welfare Officer Sanjay Mishra has issued a notice warning the madrasa operator. On Sunday, a surprise inspection was conducted at the recognized madrasa Jamia Ghazia Saidullum in Badi Takia.

According to sources, this surprise inspection was done by the District Minority Welfare Officer, who aimed to check how seriously education is being imparted in madrasas. But the scene that came out on reaching there forced everyone to think. When the students of class 10th were asked to write their names in English, no student could do so. Some tried with wrong spelling, while most of the students were completely unable to do so.
Other reports claimed a teacher was found absent, but his absence was not recorded in the register. Even in the classes of Munshi, Maulvi, and Alim, the number of children was very low compared to the registration. In the madrasa, no attention is paid to the study of subjects other than Arabic and Persian, due to which the condition of the children is so worrying.
The District Minority Welfare Officer said that by not paying attention to the children, their future is being played with. Warning: To improve the situation, it was said that if this is not done, then strict action will be taken. The operator of the madrasa and the absent teacher have been given notice. There are a total of 301 recognized madrasas in the Bahraich district. Apart from these, 495 unrecognized madrasas have been found in a survey conducted recently.
This condition of the madrasa has made it clear that nominal education cannot improve children’s futures. If today’s generation has to be empowered, then it is essential to focus on the basic quality of education. This matter is a warning that if effective steps are not taken soon, the future of the coming generations can be dark.
