Recently, a video of a gang rape case has surfaced on social media. A heartbreaking incident emerged in Pushpak Express from Lucknow to Mumbai, in which a 20-year-old newly married woman was gang-raped in front of her husband in a moving train. 8 accused are involved in this case. This incident happened between Igatpuri and Kasara stations when eight miscreants boarded the sleeper coach D-2 of the train and started stealing from the passengers.

According to sources, the miscreants looted the mobile phones, jewelry, and cash of almost all the passengers present in sleeper coach D-2 of the train. The accused, who were waiting for another station, saw the newly married woman. During this, they beat up the woman’s husband and raped the woman in front of him. Some passengers tried to resist, but the miscreants injured them too.
This incident emerged between Igatpuri and Kasara stations; 8 miscreants boarded the sleeper coach of the train. After the incident, the passengers sought help from the railway police when the train reached Kasara station. The police were informed through gestures that help was needed on the train. Mumbai GRP took immediate action and arrested four suspects while the search for others continued. Money worth Rs 34,200 was recovered from the arrested accused from the looted goods.
However, the Bombay High Court granted bail to one of the accused in this case. The High Court said that there was no record to show that the accused seeking bail had boarded the train with a gang of seven people in Igatpuri and jumped with them at Kasara station, nor was he one of the two accused who sexually assaulted the woman.
The news of this heinous incident on the train has shocked everyone; now, women are not safe even on trains in India. Train travel is generally considered comfortable and convenient, but this incident has shocked everyone. Many incidents have come to light in the past where heinous crimes like molestation, robbery, and rape have taken place against women.
