However, even for a seasoned actor like Sharman, the industry’s unpredictable nature posed challenges. He opened up about facing a dry spell in his career until fate intervened in a heartwarming way.

During a casual conversation at a party, Sharman confided in Bollywood superstar Salman Khan about his struggle to find substantial work. Salman’s response turned Sharman’s fortunes around.

In an unexpected and generous move, Salman Khan assured him with the words, “Tu Sikandar kar raha hai,” revealing that Sharman would have a pivotal role in the upcoming action film Sikandar.

This grand gesture not only uplifted Sharman but also landed him in a much-anticipated project directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. With a star-studded cast featuring Salman Khan, Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, and Prateik Babbar, Sikandar is set to release on March 28, 2025, coinciding with Eid celebrations.

This inspiring story of kindness and opportunity is a testament to the bonds within Bollywood and Sharman Joshi’s enduring journey in the world of cinema.

In February 2024, Bollywood fans were thrilled by the announcement that Salman Khan and producer Sajid Nadiadwala were reuniting for a film, marking their collaboration nearly a decade after their blockbuster Kick (2014). This news created a buzz, especially with the revelation that the project would be helmed by celebrated director A.R. Murugadoss. Known for his gripping narratives and blockbuster hits like Ghajini and Holiday, Murugadoss brings a unique style to the action genre.

Interestingly, this collaboration has been a long time in the making. Back in 2006, Murugadoss initially pitched Ghajini to Salman Khan, but the project eventually went to Aamir Khan. It took 18 years for Murugadoss and Salman to finally join forces, a move both director and producer felt was worth the wait. Nadiadwala and Murugadoss agreed that Salman was the perfect fit for the lead role in Sikandar, an action-packed film with a compelling storyline.
