Actor Saif Ali Khan suffered six stab wounds, including one near his spine, in a shocking attack at his Bandra home late last before night. The 54-year-old actor was rushed to Lilavati Hospital by his elder son, 23-year-old Ibrahim Ali Khan, in an auto-rickshaw after no cars were immediately available.
Ibrahim, also an actor, displayed quick thinking in the face of the emergency. Realizing the urgency of the situation and unable to locate a car willing to leave, he helped his injured father into the auto-rickshaw and rushed to the hospital, just two kilometers away. A video shared online shows Saif’s wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, standing next to the rickshaw and speaking to house staff moments after the incident.

Saif underwent surgery for his injuries and is now reported to be out of danger. His team released a statement assuring fans that he is stable and that all other family members are safe.
According to the police, the intruder likely entered the house to commit a robbery. Investigations suggest the assailant gained entry hours before the attack, lying in wait. CCTV footage from the building did not capture any entry within two hours prior to the incident, prompting authorities to review earlier recordings.
Police sources revealed suspicions that the attacker may have been aided by a member of the house staff, who is currently being questioned. The assailant fled the scene immediately after stabbing Saif, leaving the household in shock.
Why Ibrahim Chose an Auto-Rickshaw
At the time of the attack, none of the family’s drivers were available, and Kareena Kapoor Khan, who was present at home, called Ibrahim for assistance.
With no time to waste, Ibrahim assessed the situation and decided to use the quickest available transportation- a nearby auto-rickshaw. Given the urgency and the unpredictable nature of Mumbai’s late-night traffic, the compact vehicle proved to be the fastest way to get Saif to the hospital without delay.
The incident has sparked alarm within Bollywood, with many expressing concerns about safety in high-profile residential areas.
As police continue their investigation, Saif’s recovery and Ibrahim’s presence of mind have drawn widespread attention, highlighting the importance of swift action in emergencies.
