Rhea Chakraborty is an Indian actress and model. She was born on July 1, 1992, in Bangalore, India. Chakraborty started her career as a VJ on MTV India and later made her film debut in the 2012 Telugu film “Tuneega Tuneega”. She went on to appear in several Hindi and Bengali films, including “Mere Dad Ki Maruti”, “Jalebi”, and “Chehre”.
In 2020, Chakraborty became embroiled in a controversy surrounding the death of her boyfriend, Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who was found dead in his apartment in Mumbai.
Chakraborty was accused by Rajput’s family of abetting his suicide, and she was subsequently arrested and jailed by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on charges related to drug possession.
