Swara Bhasker is a popular Indian actress who works primarily in Bollywood films. She is best known for her supporting work in mainstream productions and featuring roles in independent films, she has won 2 Screen Awards and has been nominated for a Filmfare Award on three occasions.
An alumnus of JNU, Swara has come a long way from being a journalist to an actor. Although she hasn’t received any major role, her acting in supporting roles has fetched her recognition in Bollywood.
She made her movie debut with a supporting role in the 2009 drama Madholal Keep Walking, which turned out to be a commercial failure. However, she got huge recognition for her supporting role in the commercially 2011 successful romantic comedy film Tanu Weds Manu.
On top of that, her performance in the film was well received by critics. Moreover, she garnered a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress nomination.
She drew praise for her performance in the critically acclaimed romantic drama Raanjhanaa which hit the screens in 2013. Her role in the movie helped her earn the second Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress nomination.
After that, she repeated her role from Tanu Weds Manu in the movie’s sequel and later featured in the family drama Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. Notably, both productions were among the highest-grossing Bollywood movies of 2015.
Swara Bhasker’s recent tweet calling hubby Fahad Ahmad ‘Bhai’ becomes talking point
Recently, Swara Bhasker announced the news of her wedding to Samajwadi Party leader Fahad Ahmad. Swara and Fahad lodged their marriage as they submitted papers for the proceedings on February 16.
The couple celebrated the event with their respective family members and close friends. As per the reports, they will be organizing their wedding ceremony in March.
“Sometimes you search far and wide for something that was right next to you all along. We were looking for love, but we found friendship first. And then we found each other! Welcome to my heart @FahadZirarAhmad It’s chaotic but it’s yours!” Swara wrote on Twitter.
To which, Fahad replied, “I never knew chaos can be so beautiful Thank you for holding my hand love”.
On February 2, 2023, Swara addressed her now husband as ”Bhai” and her tweet has now gone viral on the internet. “Happy birthday Fahad Miyan! May brother’s confidence remain intact 🙂 @FahadZirarAhmad Be happy, be settled.. You are getting old, get married now! Have a great birthday & a fantastic year friend!”
