In what comes as shocking development in Pakistan, the country has come under immense criticism after one of its faculty members motivated his students to write an essay on incestuous relationships.
The massive rage arose after a picture of the university Test paper spread like wildfire on social media portals. For the record, the question paper asked students to write an essay about the sexual intercourse relationship between a brother and a sister.
The pictures of the paper went viral in no time on social media platforms, with the social media users demanding stringent action against the teacher.
In the wake of the uproar, the university administration notified the Ministry of Science and Technology that the services of a faculty member who crossed his limits and asked the question in the English composition exam has been blacklisted.
In a letter on February 2, the university said, “(An) inquiry against the content of the quiz of English Subject of BEE, 1st Semester Course Code HUM 100. I am directed to refer to the Ministry of Science and Technology letter dated January 19, 2023, on the above subject and convey that action on the matter has already been taken and the service of the Lecturer (visiting faculty) has been terminated with effect from January 5, 2023.”
The university replied after Pakistan’s Ministry of Science and Technology took note of the insulting content of the BEE quiz. “The content of the quiz is highly objectionable and totally against the curriculum laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and caused unrest amongst the families of students,” read the letter sent to the varsity by Pakistan’s Ministry of Science and Technology on January 19, 2023.
