Argentina beat France on penalties and went on to lift their third FIFA World Cup in their history. Following the grand success, several others took to social media to praise Lionel Messi for winning the World Cup.
Moreover, some even put an end to GOAT debate by saying that Messi is the best player in the world since Messi’s counterpart Cristiano Ronaldo didn’t win the World Cup.
Congress MP says “Messi was born in Assam”, users roast him badly
Meanwhile, a member of Parliament from Barpeta Lok Sabha constituency hogged the limelight after he said Lionel Messi was born in Assam.
After the FIFA World Cup 2022, a congress MP took to Twitter and wrote, “Congratulations from the core of heart. We are proud of you for your Assam connection”.
When one of the fans asked, “Assam connection?”, he replied, “Yes, he was born in Assam”.
