1. Sachin Tendulkar
Sachin Tendulkar has his clothing line, True Blue, which was first launched in 2016. For guys, this brand offers conventional and non-traditional clothing and accessories. This brand has 75 shops around India, as well as several unknown stores.
He also kick-started a fine-dining restaurant by the name of ‘Tendulkar’s’ back in 2002. After the success of the first outlet, he started a couple more outlets named ‘Sachin’s’ in Mumbai and Bengaluru. As time progressed, the business fell off and all the outlets were closed in 2007.
2. Sourav Ganguly
Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly started his restaurant business back in 2004 by opening a four-storied multi-cuisine restaurant identified as ‘Sourav’s Food Pavilion’ in one of the costliest cities of Kolkata on Park Street.
Initially, the restaurant was owned by Ganguly. In fact, Ganguly only charged a royalty fee from them for using his name. After a couple of years, he purchased the facility and took complete control of the management.
Nonetheless, the restaurant was closed in 2011. Meanwhile, Snehasis, who is Ganguly’s brother, added that the decision was taken just because they couldn’t spend much time to the business.
3. Virat Kohli
Former Indian cricketer Virat Kohli is already going places not just in the game of cricket but also in other business ventures as well. He earns whopping money through advertisements and endorsements.
He owns a highly successful fine-dining restaurant franchise by the name of ‘One 8 Commune’, which has several outlets in Delhi, Kolkata, Pune, and Mumbai respectively.
However, his sudden entry into the hotel business failed. In 2017, Kohli kick-started a restaurant named ‘Nueva’ in RK Puram (in the national capital) which was a massive hit initially but was closed with time.
