Ranbir Kapoor gave a clear reply. “Aapne jo prashna pucha ki maine kuch charge kiya ya nhi kiya, actually maine kiya (You asked if I charged anything or not, actually I did). This is an equity I have for life, I’m also part producer of the film. Meri nazariya aur soch long run hai (I am thinking more long term). Maine part one me paese nhi liye (I didn’t charge for part 1) but eventually jo faith aur belief hai ki 3 parts m jo yeh film bana sakti hai (but the faith that I have about the amount that the film will make over three parts), that is beyond anything I’d get as an actor, price as an actor.”

Meanwhile, in 2008, Deepika stunned everyone when she decided to get Ranbir’s initials tattooed on the nape of her neck. However, the two parted ways soon after. As years progressed, Deepika Padukone married Ranveer Singh whereas Ranbir Kapoor married Alia Bhatt.
When Deepika was asked if she would be get inked again for the promotion of Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, it was when Ranbir Kapoor silenced the reporter.
“I don’t think any actor in the film fraternity does things for promoting and marketing of a film. We also have a personal life. We do things for a film, but when we go home, we have a life, parents, family, friends. So you should respect that,” Ranbir said.
