India beat Australia by 6 wickets in the third and final T20I at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. As a result, they won the series by 2-1. Earlier, India lost the first game against Australia. The Aussies beat the Indians by 4 wickets and took a 1-0 lead in the series.
However, India made a superb fightback in the second game as they got the better of Australia by 6 wickets in a rain-curtailed match that was reduced to eight overs aside. India beat Australia in the must-win game and levelled the series.
Meanwhile, the series decider between India and Australia certainly kept the fans at the edge of their seats in Hyderabad. Both teams went toe-to-toe with each other in the gruelling contest.
Australia posted 186 for the loss of seven wickets in their quota of 20 overs. The likes of Tim David And Cameron Green scored 54 and 52 runs respectively for the visitors as they helped the team post a competitive total on the board.
