KL Rahul gives Savage reply to question on Virat Kohli opening the innings in T20Is, read details

KL Rahul is one of the best batsmen in the shortest format of the game. The attacking batsman usually opens for Team India in limited-overs cricket. The right-handed batsman has time and again delivered the goods for the team with his attacking stroke-play.

He is known for his ability to score runs at the rate of knots. Moreover, he puts the opposition team under pressure by playing shots all over the park. The fact that he has been able to maintain a pretty good strike rate makes him one of the most fearless batsmen in the current era.

Recently, he hasn’t been doing that good as a batsman as he struggled to score runs for the team. In fact, he underwent surgery in Germany and took plenty of time to recover. However, he made a comeback during the three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe.

His comeback wasn’t that satisfying to watch as he hardly made his presence count on the pitch. Even during the Asia Cup 2022 tournament, Rahul departed for a golden duck against Pakistan in the group stage and fans lashed out at the star for his horror show.

KL Rahul gives a savage reply to a reporter

KL Rahul who led the Indian cricket team in Rohit Sharma’s absence during the game against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup was surprised by the question asked by a reporter during the press conference.

The stand-in captain was asked after the match by a journalist whether Virat Kohli should start opening the innings. Virat Kohli scored his 71st international century and finally ended his century drought.

KL Rahu came up with a savage reply to the reporter. He said, ‘Toh kya mai khud baith jau’ (So are you asking me to sit out). Meanwhile, India were eliminated from the Asia Cup in the wake of terrible performance against Sri Lanka and Pakistan in the Super 4 stage. Sri Lanka beat Pakistan in the final to win the sixth title.
