Vijay Deverakonda is an Indian actor and producer who primarily works in Telugu language films. He established himself as a leading actor in the Tollywood industry by starring in lead roles in films such as Arjun Reddy (2017), Mahanati (2018), Geetha Govindam (2018), and Taxiwaala (2018).

Moreover, his performance in Arjun Reddy won him several accolades, including the Filmfare Award for Best Actor (Telugu). His popular films include Arjun Reddy, Geeta Govindam, Pelli Choopulu and so on.

He has a huge fan following in India. The actor who never smoked a cigarette was forced to smoke in the movie Arjun Reddy. The story demanded the character to carry a smoking habit. However, Vijay then gave up the smoking habit once the movie got over.

He will make his Bollywood debut with Liger directed by Karan Johar. Vijay Deverakonda recently promoted his film “Liger” featuring co-star Ananya Pandey and others. However, the film failed to do well at the box office as it received negative reviews from the fans.

Apart from the terrible storyline, the movie came under fire for songs as well. One of the songs had the worst lyrics and the fans trolled “Aafat” for mocking and normalising rape.

The song begins in a seductive setting, displaying the chemistry between Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday. Meanwhile, a woman’s voice can be heard saying, “Bhagwan ke liye mujhe chor do,” in the background.

“The lyrics of song Aafat are in itself a big problem. Like it’s complete objectification of women. This song shouldn’t have released,” a tweet read.
