Very inspiring story of Sreeja who topped Bihar in the CBSE board by securing 99.4%

In our country, students commit suicide either by hanging or drinking poison due to increasing pressure in academics. Though there have been several attempts made by school or college institutions to reduce the burden on students, students are still taking the extreme step to end their lives.

If sources are to be believed, every hour, one student commits suicide in India. According to a Lancet report, India has one of the world’s highest suicide rates for youth aged 15 to 29. We have come across youngsters finding it difficult to cope with personal problems and failure in exams and careers.

One needs to realise that there is always a life after failure and without even realising that, youths take an infamous decision to end their lives. Meanwhile, a Bihar-born girl by the name of Sreeja set a great example in the present era.

Deprived of her parents’ care, she didn’t sit alone and think about the problems but she had better ideas in mind. She defied all odds and touched the pinnacle of success by securing 99.4% in the CBSE X exam.

Yes, let’s take a moment to appreciate her for her hard work. Notably, all her hard work bore fruit. Sreeja of Patna’s DAV Public School got 99.4% in the CBSE X Board exam. She beat all odds in her life and made her maternal grandparents proud.

Since her mother’s death, she has been living with her maternal grandparents. Sadly, her father abandoned her at an early stage. Meanwhile, a video of her grandmother is being widely circulated on social media in which she can be heard narrating Sreeja’s ordeal.

Sreeja scored centum in science and Sanskrit and 99 each in mathematics, English and social studies. Meanwhile, she wants to prepare for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) by staying in Patna. “I have already taken admission in the science stream in Class XI at the DAV-BSEB,” she said.

Sreeja told TOI, “For me, the number of study hours does not matter. I always keep a good balance between studies and other activities. I love to read books and write poetry, for which I always manage time. Before the exams, I solved a lot of question papers and revised them well. I never joined any coaching institute and always believed in self-study. My teachers and family members helped me a lot in my studies,” she said.
