Kapil Sharma is a popular Indian stand-up comedian, TV presenter, actor and producer. He is well-known for hosting The Kapil Sharma Show. Earlier, he hosted the TV comedy shows Comedy Nights with Kapil and Family Time with Kapil.

Kapil Sharma rose to fame with his comedy shows. In 2016, Ormax Media labelled him as the most popular Indian tv personality. After that, Forbes India ranked him 11th and 18th on their Celebrity 100 list in 2016 and 2017.

He hogged the limelight when he won the comedy reality television show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2007. He won a cash prize of INR 10 lakh. Recalling his past experiences, he had worked in the Punjabi show Hasde Hasaande Ravo on MH One channel.

He took part in Sony’s Comedy Circus and won 6 seasons of the show. He hosted the dance reality show Jhalak Dikkla Jaa Season 6 followed by another show Chhote Miyan. It was in 2013 that Kapil launched his own show, Comedy Nights with Kapil, under his banner K9 Productions on Colors.

Meanwhile, Kapil Sharma has now explained the real story behind one of his Instagram pictures with Akshay Sharma, in which the latter was seen touching his feet.

Kapil shared the picture on Instagram with the caption, “Suprasidh film abhineta shri akshay kumar ji apni film #bellbottom ke liye aashirwad lete huye (Famous actor Akshay Kumar taking my blessings for his film BellBottom).”

During an interview with comedian Anubhav Singh Bassi before the release of his Netflix show, Kapil Sharma: “I’m Not Done Yet, Kapil was asked to share the story behind the picture with Akshay. He said, “Bas yahi kamaya hai (This is it. This is all I have earned).”

Kapil Sharma added that he was touching Akshay’s feet when he came to promote his film BellBottom. However, Akshay highlighted that Kapil only touches the knees rather than going all the way down to touch the feet and showed him how he does it.

“He was basically showing me how to touch the feet. I asked the photographer to click at that very moment,” Kapil added.
