After winning Silver, R Madhavan’s son Vedaant wins Gold at Danish Open swimming event

R Madhavan’s son Vedaant is turning out to be one of the most promising athletes in the country. Time and again, he has done the country proud by winning medals. His father, R Madhavan couldn’t be any happier upon seeing his son making the nation proud on the big stage.

In the latest development, Vedaant Madhavan won a gold medal in swimming at the Danish Open 2022. He won the medal in the 800m swimming event and clocked 8:17.28. The actor took to his official Instagram handle and shared the video clip.

“GOLD….With all your blessings and God’s greatest the winning street continues. Today it’s a GOLD IN 800m for vedaant madhavan. Overwhelmed and humbled. The 3 Idiots actor went on to thank Vedaant’s coach, swimming federation and the entire team.

Soon after R Madhavan shared the post, his industry friends dropped congratulatory messages. Shilpa Shirodhkar wrote, “Absolutely amazing Maddy a proud moment for all of us. Congratulations my dear vedaantmadhavan sending u loads of love and blessings my dear…”. While his fans wrote, “Congratulations”.

Earlier, he won a silver medal at the Danish open swimming meet in Copenhagen, Denmark. The 16-year-old clocked 15.57.86 in the men’s 1500m freestyle event. As a result, he secured the second spot on Friday night.

The actor shared a video clip from the felicitation ceremony on Instagram. The 51-year-old actor went on to thank his son’s coach Pradeep Kumar and the swimming federation of India for their support.

Notably, Vedaant had previously clinched a bronze medal at the Latvia Open in March 2021. Moreover, he has also impressed at the Junior National Aquatic Championships last year where he won as many as seven medals i.e. four silver and three bronze.

The Danish Open 2022 is being held in Copenhagen, Denmark from April 15 to 19. Notably, the top Indian swimmer Sajan Prakash came through with flying colours as he won the gold medal in the men’s 200m butterfly.
