US Law Professor makes controversial statements on Indians, triggers massive outrage on social media

No one is born hating another person because of the colour of his skin or his background or his religion. People learn to hate and if they can learn to hate, they can also be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.

The racist attitude to judging people on their caste, creed and colour is still witnessed these days. It is indeed shameful to see racist incidents in society. Why do we fail to understand or remember that there is a lot more beyond skin colour? The only thing that matters is talent, skill, positive thinking, and the attitude of the person.

Meanwhile, an American law professor recently became the talking point on social media for her controversial statements about immigrants in the United States of America, emphasizing Indians. As per the reports, the law professor from the University of Pennsylvania, Amy Wax launched a scathing attack on Indians by adding that they were critical of everything in the US even where “their own country is a shithole”.

In a viral video clip that is doing the rounds on Twitter, Wax is heard saying, “Here’s the problem. They (Brahmin women from India) are taught that they are better than everybody else because they are Brahmin elites and yet, on some level, their country is a shit hole.”

Meanwhile, in her statements, she cited the caste system that is quite common in India. Wax went on to add stating that Brahmins always believe they are above people from other castes. She went on to group all the Indian immigrants in one graph, and called India a “shit hole”.

“There is just a tremendous amount of resentment and shame of non-western peoples against western peoples for western peoples’ outsized achievements and contributions,” she said. “It’s really unbearable,” Ms Wax added.

She made the controversial remarks during a live TV show with Tucker Carlson on Fox. She slammed Asian and South Asian Indian doctors at Penn Medicine. Nikki Mccann Ramírez shared the clip of the interview.

The video was shared with the caption, “Penn Law professor Amy Wax tells Tucker Carlson that “Blacks” and other “non-western” groups harbor “resentment, shame, and envy” against western people for their “outsized achievements and contributions.”
