5 Blockbuster movies turned down by Saif Ali Khan, catch full details

A reasonable actor would never want his or her film to be a flop. However, no one knows how a film will perform in front of an audience. Saif Ali Khan, also known as the nawab of Pataudi and one of the most well-known actors in Bollywood, has been given numerous films but has turned down many of them. And, well, just a couple of them became super-hits. The following are some examples of such films:

1. 2 STATES-2014

The plot of the movie, 2 States, based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel, revolves around a marriage between people from two different states and races.

Arjun Kapoor played the male protagonist in the film. Saif Ali Khan was first offered the part, followed by Shahrukh Khan, and ultimately Ranbir Kapoor. Arjun accepted the part after being rejected by all of the other actors.

2. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (Kuch Kuch Hota Hai) (1998)

Yes! The film garnered a lot of traction due to its incredible plot, in which Rahul marries his closest friend from college. While he has previously stated that love can only happen once. Despite this, Saif was first offered the role of Aman, which was filled by Salman Khan. And, of course, he turned it down

3. RACE – 2008

This was one of the longest-running film series (obviously after Golmaal and Housefull) which included a number of well-known actors, which helped it become a great hit at the box office. People expected Saif Ali Khan to appear in Race 3 because he was one of the primary characters in the previous flicks. Unfortunately, he turned down the opportunity as well as the requests.

4. Talaash: The Answer Is Within – released in 2012.

One of Anurag Kashyap’s best-written flicks, according to rumours. The majority of the film is built on a psychological crime thriller with unexpected twist endings. It was offered to Saif, and he was expected to take a part in it. But he didn’t, and he declined the offer.

His wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, also appeared in the film. When asked about his rejection of the project, she disclosed that Saif’s major goal at the time was to land a commercial feature rather than a drama.

5. Dil Wale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge -1995

DDLJ, starring Bollywood’s most famous duo- Shahrukh and Kajol, was a big success and brought in a lot of money. Not only that but the film is still shown in the Maratha Mandir cinema. It was listed among the “1001 movies you should see before you die” and won multiple accolades.

According to speculations, this film was first given to Saif, but he declined. Well, I guess fate was on Shahrukh’s side.
