The number of Jihadist attacks has been increasing across the globe over the years. It does not seem to be ending anytime soon. There were many occasions when the errorists killed the citizens before shouting “Allah o Akbar” – an Arabic term meaning “God is great”.
This particular phrase is often linked with acts of Islamist terrorism before beginning his spree. It’s not just men, even women have been involved in heinous crimes. Earlier, in France, a woman entered the supermarket and yelled “Allah o Akbar” before slashing two men.
Meanwhile, in the latest development, police in Venice have been ordered by the mayor to shoot anyone who shouts “Allahu Akbar” in St Mark’s Square. “If anyone runs into St Mark’s Square shouting ‘Allahu Akbar, we will take him down”, right-winger mayor Luigi Brugnaro said. “We keep our guard up”, he added.
Earlier, as many as 13 people were killed in Barcelona when a terrorist drove a van into pedestrians. In the wake of the incident, Brugnaro added that Venice was safer than Barcelona. When the mayor announced this at a summer think tank, he was lauded by delegates.
“Anyone who shouts Allahu Akbar in St Mark’s Square can expect to be gunned down by snipers within four paces”, he said.
While talking about how 4 suspected jihadists, who allegedly intended to murder hundreds of tourists by blowing up the Rialto bridge, were detained in Venice in March, he came up with a controversial statement.
He added saying that he will send the terrorists “straight to Allah without having to throw them off the bridge, we will just shoot them”.
Meanwhile, the self-proclaimed politically incorrect mayor gave his speech at a conference in Rimini. Following the speech, the centre-left mayor of Florence went to Brugnaro and laughed after yelling ‘Allahu Akbar’. Needless to say, he later apologised on Facebook.
