Taapsee reacts to Sonakshi Sinha’s ‘star kids debate useless’ remark

The Bollywood industry has largely been influenced by people who haven’t heir link-ups in the film industry without the shadow of any doubt. The so-called star kids of already established ones are already in the headlines for all the reasons and are allowed to stay there despite their success or failure.

On the contrary, talented ones are struggling to set their feet. To make things worse, the Bollywood industry even leaves people when they go through bad times.

We all know that Sonakshi Sinha had deactivated her Twitter account amid debate on nepotism. Sharing Amy Poehler’s GIF in an award show, the actress in her last tweet wrote, “The first step to protecting your sanity is to stay away from negativity.

And nowhere more of that than Twitter these days. Chalo I’m off– deactivating my account. Bye guys, peace out.”

During an interview, Sonakshi Sinha had stated that even star kids get dropped out of a movie but they never cry about it as others do. During an interview with Bollywood Bubble, we asked Taapsee Pannu, her opinions on Sonakshi’s remark.

Taapsee replied, “Definitely, I feel any actor – star kid or not a star kid – will be losing out on films to someone else. But the criteria is not that the star kid has lost out on the film because that person is an outsider so that person got the film, but as outsiders, definitely, we have lost out on films because someone was there recommending and pushing someone’s name who definitely had those contacts in the industry.

And those are mostly star kids, right?” She added, “I’m not saying they wouldn’t have lost out on films, but they wouldn’t have lost out on films to outsiders because of the fact that they are outsiders, so that is the difference. But every actor has gone through a situation where they’ve been pushed out of a film. Can be star kids or even outsiders.”

For the uninitiated, Sonakshi in the interview with Pinkvilla had confessed to losing out on films and called it ‘part and parcel of the job’. She said, “Of course. Who hasn’t? This whole star kid debate is useless because it is not like no star kid hasn’t lost out on a project because of somebody else. But nobody goes around crying about it. It’s okay, sab ke saath hota hai. Deal with it, dude. That’s life. There is no point talking about spilt milk.”
