10 Wealthiest Indians as per Forbes, check out the updated list

There is no doubt that India has produced notable billionaires even as family businesses have passed down from generation to generation. However, the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer.

In a bid to make a difference in society, few billionaires in India are extending their fruitful contributions to the less unfortunate ones.

There is no doubt that Mukesh Ambani is the richest person in India. He is also the richest man in Asia. For the 14th year in a row, he is the richest person in India.

Even though the entire country was through a severe economic downturn, Ambani achieved a profit of $16.4 million in a single year.

His present net worth of $23.1 billion places him among India’s and Asia’s wealthiest people. India is on the verge of growth, but it is home to five billionaires with fortunes equal to the combined GDP of 19 countries.

Nepal and Afghanistan are two countries whose GDP is less than Ambani’s net wealth. These are the countries that originate from the surrounding areas. Apart from that, Cambodia, Iceland, and Cyprus all fall short compared to Ambani’s riches.

Mukesh Ambani isn’t the only one who has outperformed other countries’ GDP. The annual GDP of India’s pharmaceutical tycoon Dilip Sanghvi and WIPRO’s Azim Premji exceeds that of Zimbabwe.

With their money, they were able to put nine countries behind them. Lakshmi Mittal, another steel industry titan, has a net worth of $13.3 billion, which exceeds Albania’s $12.1 billion GDP.

According to reports, Mukesh Ambani is India’s sole businessman who enjoys Z-Level protection, which costs almost Rs 15-16 lakhs per month. After receiving a threat from a terrorist group in 2013, he was able to secure the services of the aforementioned category.

According to the Economic Times, Mukesh Ambani has been earning Rs 90 crores every hour since the lockout began in March. The information was compiled for the IIFL Wealth Hurun India Rich List 2020.
