When we talk about taking inspiration from distinct movie industries, Bollywood industries always come at the top. This industry not only took inspiration from Hollywood but also copied plots, took inspiration from the Tollywood and Kollywood industry too.
This demonstrates that, no matter how much fun we make of South Indian films, they are excellent enough for Bollywood to replicate them and cast some B-town stars in them, resulting in a smashing blockbuster.
These are a few of the upcoming Bollywood films that are said to be adopted from south Indian cinema:
1. Vikram Vedha
Hrithik and Saif make for an interesting on-screen duo on the big screen. Although this is rumoured, the film will star this duo in addition to many more well-known actors. R. Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi played the film’s original main roles. A cop travels around separating bad officers from good in this South Indian film’s premise, exactly like in any other.
2. Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru
The film’s title has been altered to Sanki, and it’s expected to star big-name actors like Varun Dhawan and Parineeti Chopra, among others. The plot centres around a police officer investigating the death of a couple in unusual circumstances.
3. HIT
In 2020, the movie was released and became a tremendous hit. Everything about the plot revolves around an investigation, a cop, and their bravery. Everything else is the same.
The film will be recreated with Rajkummar Rao in the starring role.
4. Kaithi
For the first time in a long time, Ajay Devgn will appear on the screen. The fact that Ajay is a wonderful blend of action heroes and humorous heroes makes this even better because he can emphasise both and make it tolerable for those who cannot stand action for too long.
The plot revolves around an inspector who makes several valiant attempts to carry out a drug raid but is constantly thwarted by the obstacles he encounters along the way.
5. Jersey
The movie is a remake of a Telugu film with the same name that Bollywood will make without doing anything unique at all. Shahid Kapoor will play a cricketer in the starring role, and the rest of the movie will go on without him ruining it horribly.
6. Ratsasan
Akshay Kumar and Rakulpreet have been popular on-screen pair in recent years, appearing together frequently in both feature films and short online videos. Ratsasan will be reconstructed with the help of the foundation the duo has built. There’s a cop in the plot, obviously, and he’s on the lookout for psychopaths.
7. Soorarai Potru
As it turned out, this completely unique tale was also nominated for an Academy Award in the coming year. After it was decided to use performers like John Abraham and Hrithik Roshan in the key roles, Akshay Kumar was the one to get the film. The tale of a man from a faraway land who dreams of starting his own airline but faces numerous obstacles along the way.
8. Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo
Trivikram Srinivas has made sure that despite some nonsensical situations, bland plots, or the lack of some depth in feeling, one does not take his eyes off anywhere. Having said that, this is the guru’s best script to date. He’s in top form as the writing alternates between raunchy and measured sections.
For a scenario to stay fresh in our minds, something has to be conjured from thin air. A special mention must go to the songs, which are arranged in such a punctuated fashion that they fit seamlessly with the storey narration and screenplay. To put it another way, the songs may be confused for scenarios quite simply.
Trivikram deserves all of the credit he’s received thus far for his wizardry. Allu Arjun’s Casio watch from the beginning of the storey, for example, is meticulously studied. For most of the film’s first half, Arjun doesn’t wear any make-up, which helps establish his character’s authenticity.
It has been confirmed that Kartik Aaryan would reprise his role as the lead in the remake.
9. Anniyan
Director Shankar uses the protagonist in Anniyan to deliver a multitude of themes and say things that need to be said in this hard-hitting, exciting, and thought-provoking action thriller. Even if you watch it in a dubbed version, you’ll be blown away by the film’s strong storytelling, spectacular action sequences, cutting-edge visual effects, and Vikram’s ground-breaking performance.
Actor Ranveer Singh will play the lead role in the reimagined film. It has been confirmed that Kartik Aaryan would reprise his role as the lead in the remake.
10. Master
Director Lokesh Kanakaraj’s film featured an eclectic mix of styles. The movie is a commercial action-entertainer. Vijay had never done a movie quite like this before. A professor with a drinking problem, Vijay played by Vijay Sethupathi is the show-stealer. In spite of their limited screen time, Malavika and Andrea both did a commendable job.
The actor Salman Khan is speculated to play the lead in the 2021 version of the Tamil thriller film.
