19yr old Tamil Nadu girl kills her relative when he tried to rape her near Toilet

In what comes as shocking news, a 19-year-old girl stabbed her cousin to death after he allegedly attempted to rape her. The woman accused the man of trying to rape her according to Tamil Nadu police.

The girl took the step in self defence and the incident took place in Tiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu on January 2nd.

The deceased, identified as Ajith (25), was a relative of the woman and had been staying in the same village. Ajith, who was unemployed and an alcoholic, left his wife and two kids six months ago. Ajith also had many criminal cases pending against him, police said.

On the day of the incident, Ajith followed the girl when she went out to the toilet in the nearby farm. “At knifepoint, Ajith held her and attempted to sexually assault her. The woman pleaded him to let her go, but Ajith had attacked her and threatened to kill her if she doesn’t obey him. The woman pushed him and Ajith, who was in a state of inebriation, had fallen off. The woman had then picked the knife and stabbed him and ran away,” the police said.

After killing the rapist, the woman reached the police station and narrated the whole incident. The police had then visited the area where the incident occured and sent Ajith’s body for postmortem. “A case has been registered under section 302. We are investigating into the case, no arrests have been made till now,” the Sholavaram police said.

The police are investigating the case. A statement of the police said, “We have registered a case and have started investigation. We have taken note of the girl’s version. We will also check if there were any eye witnesses and a detailed probe will be conducted.”
