Faridabad Love Jihad: Nikita wanted to be Lieutenant and serve in Indian Army, who knew someone would shatter all her dreams?

It is no secret that some youths from Muslim community are involved in the heinous practice of Love Jihad, an alleged effort made by them only to target beautiful and rich women belonging to non-Muslim communities for religious conversion to Islam by ‘fake love’.

This infamous concept first came to light in India in the year 2009 with alleged conversions in Kerala and Karnataka. Slowly, it started to spread across all states of India.

In a recent heartbreaking incident that took the entire nation by shock, a Hindu girl, hailing from Ballabgarh in Faridabad, was shot dead in broad daylight by two men as she fell prey to a trap of ‘love jihad’.

The girl, a B.Com final year student identified as Nikita Tomar, was killed outside her college in Ballabgarh in Haryana’s Faridabad district on Monday. The victim had last month filed a complaint of molestation and harassment against one of the accused, Taufeeq.

It is said that Nikita wanted to serve the country as a lieutenant, but Taufeeq shattered her dreams. It is to be noted that Tafeeq, a resident of one-time love, Rosekame Nunh, shot and killed a third-year student Nikita in the city Ballabgarh police station area. He opened fire at the girl outside her College. The attacker came in the car with his partner. He first attempted to abduct her but killed her when she resisted to his demands.

The victim’s father said that Nikita was very intelligent. She scored 95% in 12th and was a topper both years in BCom. She wanted to serve the country by becoming a lieutenant. She also appeared for the Air Force exam. Also, was continuously preparing for NDA.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar assured the victim’s family that strict action will be taken against the accused and he will not be spared. Ballabhgarh MLA Moolchand Sharma said that no matter what the accused is, he will not be spared in any case. Nikita was our daughter and I and the entire administration stand with the family to bring justice to the daughter.
