Sanjay Dutt diagnosed with Cancer, stays strong and says “will beat it soon”

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer earlier this year, says “I will beat the disease soon”. In a video shared by hairstylist Aalim Hakim on Instagram, the actor is seen saying that he is already back at work and promised to beat cancer soon.

“Hi, this is Sanjay Dutt. Good to be back in the salon. Got a haircut. If you see this, this is a recent scar in my life, but I will beat it. I will be out of this cancer soon,” he said in the clip.

Sanjay Dutt, son of late actor Sunil Dutt, had to face lots of severe blows in his life after becoming an established actor in the film industry. But the actor stood firmly making way slowly and steadily out of all the negativities. Despite being diagnosed with cancer, the actor was seen on the sets of KGF Chapter 2 in which he is playing the main antagonist ‘Adheera’! He has also shared his latest pic on Twitter while getting ready for the shoot.

Talking about his bond with the hairstylist, Sanjay said, “Aalim and I go a long way back. His father used to cut my father’s hair. Hakim saab was the stylist in Rocky and then Aalim started cutting my hair. I became his guinea pig.” He added that he was often encouraged to try eccentric styles like red or even blonde highlights.

In August, Sanjay was undergoing treatment for lung cancer in Mumbai. This is the first time that he has opened up about the nature of his ailment.

Following the nationwide lockdown was imposed, the actor’s wife and kids got stranded in Dubai, while Sanjay Dutt was living in Mumbai. Maanayata returned to Mumbai as soon as she got to know about Sanjay’s health. Later, she took Sanjay Dutt to Dubai along with her.

Sanjay’s wife, Maanayata Dutt, said that the family has overcome a number of struggles together and ‘this, too, shall pass’. She said, “Sanju has always been a fighter, and so has our family. God has yet again chosen to test us to overcome the challenges ahead. All we seek is your prayers and blessings, and we know we will emerge as winners on the other side, as we always have.”

Sanjay Dutt was last seen in Sadak 2, which released on Disney+Hotstar on August 28. There are reports that Sanjay Dutt is all set to resume work on his other films KGF 2 and Bhuj.

Cancer is a critical disease that has claimed several lives in the Bollywood Industry. Recently, our two senior-most loving actors, namely Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan khan lost the battle to cancer. The two of them had a good chance for remission but in the end, gave in to cancer. While some of the celebrities from Bollywood have also been affected by cancer but recovered with time. They are an inspiration to all the cancer patients who lose hope and the will to live further. Let’s hope Sanjay Dutt comes out of this soon.
