Hindu priest burnt alive in Rajasthan, Pujari died in no time- where is media outrage?

In a heart-wrenching incident, the priest Babulal Vaishnav was mercilessly burnt to death by the Dabangs in ​​Karauli district, Rajasthan. The incident reportedly took place in  Bukna village of Sapotra area of ​​Karauli district of Rajasthan.

Temple priest Babulal Vaishnav set on fire by a few people at Bukna village, Sapotra, Karauli district of Rajasthan. He was then rushed to the Sawai Mansingh Hospital in Jaipur in a critical condition where he succumbed to his injuries.

The murder of the priest (Pujari) has sparked massive outrage in Rajasthan, people have come out on roads to protest against the administration. People have raised major questions on the law and order situation under the Ashok Gehlot government.

The family of the priest demanded a 50 lakh compensation and a government job and they also said that they won’t perform the last rites till the demands are met. They also demanded a prompt action against the Patwari and policemen who are supporting the accused. They have also sought protection from the Gehlot government.

“We won’t perform the last rites of the body until our demands are met. We want Rs 50 lakhs compensation & a government job. All accused must be arrested & action should be taken against Patwari & policemen who are supporting the accused. We want protection.” Lalit, priest Babulal’s relative said. Meanwhile, AAP’s Sanjay Singh has condemned the incident and said that the culprits should get the strictest punishment. One person has been arrested in the matter.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot announced 10 lakh compensation to the family of the victim and a government job to one member. The family then performed the last rites. Patwari and SHO helping the accused have also been suspended with immediate action.

MP Dr. Kirori Lal Meena, former MLA Mansingh also reached the house of the victim’s family and staged a dharna. Kirodilal Meena said, “After talks with the Panch-Patels of all the castes of the village, it has been decided that the priest family should get justice in every situation. Criminals should have strict punishment. I have given financial assistance of one lakh rupees to the family of the priest.”
