Maxwell’s fiance shuts down racist troll after he tells her to ditch Australian cricketer

No one is born hating another person because of the colour of his skin or his background or his religion. People learn to hate and if they can learn to hate, they can also be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.

The racist attitude to judge people on their caste, creed and colour is still witnessed these days. It is indeed shameful to see racist incidents are present in society.

Why do we fail to understand or remember that there is a lot more beyond the skin colour? The only thing that matters is talent, skill, positive thinking, the attitude of the person.

Recently, Glenn Maxell’s fiancee Vini Raman posted a throwback picture with the cricketer on Instagram. Meanwhile, a troll decided to come up with a racist remark on Raman as he mocked her fiance over mental health issues.

Last year, the Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell spoke about his mental health and fight with depression. He even took a break from international cricket before coming to this year’s Big Bash League.

The troll identified as @guru_boy7 wrote: “Ditch the mentally troubled while boy @vini.raman .. You don’t need to feel sorry for the poor dude… Get the Indian guy you sell out”. Raman who noticed this nasty comment shut down the user by coming up with powerful response.

“So, I normally don’t respond to comments like these as I know trolls do it just to get attention. But a 6 month lockdown has left me with plenty of time to educate ignorant morons. Loving someone of a different skin colour doesn’t make you a sell out. Loving a white person doesn’t mean I’m embarrassed to be an Indian. Loving a white person is my choice and I shouldn’t have to worry about what others will think,” Vini Raman took to Instagram to share a screenshot of the troll’s racist remark.

Maxwell and Raman had got engaged in this year’s February. Even Glenn Maxwell was proud of his fiance’s response to a troll. “Proud of you @vini.raman. Some people are just genuinely pathetic,” Maxwell wrote.
