KBC ₹5cr winner Sushil Kumar went bankrupt, ₹1cr winner became IPS officer

The popular game show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) has changed many lives, but the life of Sushil Kumar, the first Rs 5 crore winner, has been challenging after winning the popular reality show KBC.

These days, Sushil Kumar’s Facebook post is going viral on social media. Sushil explained in this post how his life has been after winning KBC. From getting addicted to booze and cigarette, getting duped by cheats, making some bad decisions to even ruining his relationship with his wife, Sushil talked about all that went wrong.

However, the show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) has changed many lives. Many have attained new heights in their career after winning this famous show. One such inspiring story is that of IPS Dr. Ravi Mohan Saini.

KBC Junior came out 19 years ago in 2001, 14-year-old Ravi Mohan Saini answered all 15 questions correctly to win the top prize of Rs 1 crore back then. Nearly two decades later, he is an IPS officer.

In a conversation with the Times of India in 2017, Ravi told that he had 1 crore in the show. He was given a cheque of Rs 69 lakh after tax deduction by KBC host Amitabh Bachchan. However, the prize money was given after the age of 18 years as per KBC rules.

Dr. Ravi Mohan Saini is 33 years old at present. In May, he joined the post of SP in Porbandar, Gujarat. Earlier, Ravi was posted as DCP in Rajkot City. Ravi hails from Alwar and his father was in the Navy. Ravi did his schooling from Naval Public School in Visakhapatnam.

He told The Indian Express, “After my schooling, I did my MBBS from Mahatma Gandhi Medical College in Jaipur. I was doing my internship after MBBS when I cleared UPSC. My father was in the navy and I joined the police force after being inspired by him.”

Saini cracked the UPSC exam and secured 461 rank. He became an IPS officer in 2014. Talking about his new role, he said, “My role would be the implementation of lockdown in Porbandar in view of the Covid-19 pandemic. Also, the law and order situation remains our topmost priority.”

The iconic game show hosted by Amitabh Bachchan will be back with its new season – KBC 12. Kaun Banega Crorepati 12 is likely to launch in October. Amitabh Bachchan will return as host.
