CM Yogi to make ‘another bollywood’ in UP to quell Shivsena’s ego

As the drug and nepotism debate grows higher in Bollywood, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath made a big announcement to build a bigger and better film city in the state.

Mr. Yogi said that a film city will be established in the state. According to a press statement, the Chief Minister said that the country needs a good film city and Uttar Pradesh is all set to take this responsibility.

“We will prepare a film city for which the region of Noida, Greater Noida, and Yamuna Expressway will be good,” he said as per the press statement.

He ordered the officials to search for the land in or around Noida, Greater Noida or Yamuna Expressway and prepare an action plan in this regard.

“This film city will not only provide better opportunities to film-makers but also job opportunities to the youths from the state,” he said.

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut also praised his initiative to make a magnificent film city. Kangana has been very vocal about Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case since the very beginning. Starting from igniting the debate of ‘insiders vs outsiders’ in Bollywood to demanding justice for the late actor, the actress has done it all.

Kangana is currently at loggerhead with the Maharashtra government. The tussled turned murkier recently after her office was demolished by BMC.

The Yogi government is going to set up India’s biggest film industry in Noida. During the interaction with the divisional officials and the public representatives of Meerut, CM Yogi said that in the present circumstances, the country needed an upmarket film city equipped with all the modern facilities and advancements and UP was ready to lift that responsibility.

The CM also directed the Noida authority to expedite the work of ongoing projects like the Noida Convention and Habitat Centre, Golf Course, and Expansion of Metro and Shooting range in Sector 21 A.

He also said the entire Meerut Metro project should be completed by March 2025 while the priority section from Sahibabad to Duhai (17-km-long) should be completed by March 2023.

The CM warned that the delay in developmental work will not be tolerated and the projects should be completed in time while adhering to quality norms.
