Everyone dreams to clear the Civil Services Exam, but very few are fortunate to crack the exam. Today, we are talking about a mechanical engineer from IIT Bombay who cracked the exam in his first attempt and secured an AIR 174 in the Civil Services examination 2019 result.
When the UPSC Civil Services Result 2019 came out, several success stories are being shown on social media. As many as 829 candidates have been selected for various posts of IAS, IPS, IRS, IFS etc.
But this story is quite inspiring. If you come to know the story of Aprajit Lohan, you will be perplexed for sure. Hailing from a very humble family, Aprajit did his schooling from CBSE board. He passed 10th in 2013 and completed 12th in 2014. He scored 92% Marks in 12th Board Exams.
Following this, he got a good rank in the IIT-JEE exam and completed mechanical engineering from IIT Bombay. 24-year-old Aprajit studied hard day and night and then finally obtained an engineering degree from IIT Bombay. Later, he was offered a whopping 25 lakh annual package by a company but he refused the offer and chose the second option.
Coming from Hisar, Haryana, Lohan wanted to achieve great success in life and so he decided to prepare for the UPSC civil services examination. He studied diligently for one year at home, during this, he joined online classes as well. As per reports, he would study for about 8 hours daily. During this, he kept himself completely away from social media.
Aprajit is a guy who never gave up despite things not going in favour. He fought against all odds and unlocked the achievement. His maternal uncle, Rajpal Nain, informed that Aprajit has been a brilliant student throughout his school and college.
“He decided to prepare for the civil services after completing his engineering degree. It’s a big achievement that he got such good rank in the examination in his first attempt,” he said. Nain informed that Aprajit’s sister is an MBBS and MD. His father Suresh Lohan is a lawyer while his mother is a housewife.
