“He took away my sister by force”, brother-in-law of Vikas Dubey exposes

Vikas Dubey, the main accused in the killing of eight policemen in Kanpur, has been gunned down in an encounter. The gangster was arrested in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain. The encounter took place while the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) was taking him by road from Ujjain to Kanpur.

Earlier, in a heart-wrenching incident, eight police personnel were shot dead on Friday by a gang led by Vikas Dubey. In what could be termed as a shocking crime in Kanpur, police officials were attacked by miscreants, allegedly because they attempted to arrest the infamous historysheeter Vikas Dubey.

The incident reportedly occurred in Bikru village where police had gone to arrest the gangster. It is being told that Vikas Dubey had got information before the police raid, his accomplice Daya Shankar Agnihotri has revealed. Following the incident, police launched an investigation on how gangster Vikas Dubey got the information about the raid at his house.

Meanwhile, Gangster Vikas Dubey’s brother-in-law Gyanendra Nigam (46), and his son were picked by special task force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh police with assistance from Madhya Pradesh cops from Shahdol, 592 kilometres east of Bhopal on Wednesday, police said.

Dubey’s brother-in-law Gyanendra Nigam revealed that he had no connection with his sister Richa Nigam and brother-in-law Vikas. There is no talk of development for 10-15 years. Vikas drove Richa away in 1997 and forcibly married her. 

Gyanendra further said that Vikas had captured his Kanpur house. With great difficulty, he managed to regain possession. 

Gyanendra Nigam and his wife immediately approached the Superintendent of Police. Both of them told the Superintendent of Police that he left Kanpur 15 years ago and has now nothing to do with Vikas Dubey.

Who is Vikas Dubey?

One of the most wanted Vikas Dubey has 60 cases in his name. He is also known to have murdered a minister in the former Rajnath Singh government in UP.

In 2001, Vikas Dubey barged into a police station and gunned down Santosh Shukla, who was a minister in the Rajnath Singh-led UP government. In 2000, Vikas Dubey killed Siddeshwar Pandey, an assistant manager at Tarachand Inter College, located in Shivli police station area of Kanpur. 

In 2004, Vikas Dubey was involved in murder of cable businessman Dinesh Dubey. In 2018, his cousin Anurag was brutally attacked while Vikas Dubey was in jail. Later, his wife revealed that he hatched the conspiracy while sitting inside a prison.
