Incidents of wild animals entering the street and attacking the humans are many these days. Recently, a video of a leopard assaulting a man’s leg and then trying to evade while being chased by a pack of stray dogs spread like wildfire on all social media platforms.
As per Forests and Wildlife Protection Society (FAWPS), the incident took place on May 14 near the Katedan underpass, on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
According to the video, two men can be seen running to a parked truck and one of them climbed safely on to it while the other runs to the opposite side in confusion before getting back to the truck for safety.
Nonetheless, the leopard pounces on the leg of the second man as he tries to climb into the truck’s cab. Following initial surprise, the man is able to raise himself into the truck and close the door.
The leopard then races around attempting to find an escape route. Much to leopard’s annoyance, a pack of stray dogs cornered it and keep barking at it. After a while, the leopard manages to escape from the spot.
There is no clarity about how the leopard ended up in the area.
The video clip came just days after an injured big cat (leopard) was found to be resting in the middle of a road.
