In a first, Hindu youth Rahul Dev joins Pakistan Air Force, read details

For the first time in Pakistan’s history, a Hindu youth identified as Rahul Dev has been hired as a general duty pilot officer in Pakistan Air Force. Yes, you read it right. The Pakistan Air Force, as an all-inclusive branch of the armed forces, has appointed a minority Hindu youth who belongs to Tharparkar district.

Hailing from the economically backward sections of the society in the Tharparkar region of Sindh, Rahul Dev has now become the first from his community to attain a reputable position in the Pakistan Air Force.

“For the first time in #Pakistan’s history, a #Hindu youth named Rahul Dev ( belonging to Tharparkar district )has been recruited as a general duty pilot officer in Pakistan Air Force,” Radio Pakistan tweeted.

In 2019, Kainat Junaid become the first woman from Khyber-Pakthunkhwa (K-P) to have been hired for fighter pilot training in PAF.

Hailing from Lower Dir’s Balambat area, Kainat Junaid not only earned the top position in Pakistan Air Force’s test for GDP, but has also become Pakistan’s first ever female fighter pilot to serve the nation alongside her father.

It is to be noted that Kainat’s father Squadron Leader named Ahmed Junaid said his long desire of watching his daughter become a fighter pilot has been fulfilled.
