Pak Hindu lady beaten by extremists in Sindh, for fetching water from a Soomra hand-pump?

Everyone is familiar with the conditions of Hindus and Sikhs in Pakistan that minorities in Pakistan have been facing religious persecution since 1947. Minorities are not granted all equal rights in Pakistan. The condition of Hindus and Sikhs are getting worse day by day.

These minorities are forced to convert to Islam or else flee Pakistan. After the partition, Pakistan was formed on the religious base due to which atrocities on minorities such as Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, and Christians have increased a lot.

In yet another atrocity, a Hindu lady was brutally beaten by extremist goons just because she was fetching water from a Soomra hand-pump. The lady had to face harassment for being Hindu, as per a Pak activist Aneesa Baluch.

As we know water is vital to life. The earth has an abundance of water, but there is a dearth of water for minorities in Pakistan. We all need water to survive and we know that a human being can not survive without water, but why is there an atrocity on Hindus in the name of water in Islamabad?

Water is a basic necessity of life, but our Hindu people are even deprived of that. Minorities are not allowed to get water from hand-pump in the country which displays inequity on the basis of religion.

Over the years, discrimination has spread on the basis of minorities and religion across Pakistan. Religious discrimination is a never-ending issue in Pakistan which has been running since 1947 and there is no remedy till now. Pakistan has over 20 crores population, out of which around 3.4 million people belong to the Hindu community and the majority of which are Dalits or people of Scheduled Castes.

Minorities have never been treated equally in the country, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan promised to eradicate this issue but hasn’t chalked out any plan for the minorities so far. Even under his leadership, so many Hindus are still going through painful torture like the religious conversion (Hinduism to Islam) and forced marriages to elderly men.

The world knows that atrocities against Hindus and Sikhs have grown to a great extent in Pakistan since it came into existence. Minorities in the neighboring country are being persecuted. Thousands of minority girls have been abducted and forcefully converted to Islam and married off in Pakistan. No one can raise their voice against atrocities, if someone does, his voice is suppressed.
