Madhopatti village, in Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh, always remains in the headlines as it makes a major contribution to the future of our country by giving as many as 47 IAS officers to the nation. Madhopatti is the only village in India having 47 IAS officers.
Every house in Madhopatti village has at least one IAS/IPS officers and they are serving all across India. They are making India proud by making a huge difference in people’s lives through hard work, great diligence and commitment.
There are around 75 households in this village but the total number of IAS and IPS officers are 47. IAS officers from this village are making the headlines as they are making a huge difference in people’s lives. Time and time again, they have proved that they are worth the weight in gold. Once they decide to bring a change, there is literally nothing who can stop them.
One must realize that only hard work, great diligence as well as commitment is required to touch the pinnacle of success. Above all, believing in oneself is also one of the great ways to outsmart challenges.
Since then, a trend of sorts started and every youth dreamed of becoming an IAS officer. And it is safe to say that most of them succeeded. While many opted for a career in civil services, some youngsters from the village have also found successful careers with the Indian Space Research Organisation, the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre and the World Bank.
“You will find students studying in intermediate, going through guide books for IAS and PCS examinations. They start young and also try to brush up on their English since the medium of education in most schools here is still Hindi,” one teacher from the village said in an interview.
Madhopatti is the only village that has given India real heroes through the UPSC exam. Ghazipur’s Ghahmar village for example, is known as the Army village. Why? Because every household has at least one member in the Army.
