UP CM Yogi Adityanath breaks out as his father passes away, may his soul rest in peace

Amid the nationwide panic over the coronavirus pandemic, Anand Singh Bisht, father of Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath, who was being treated at New Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences, has passed away.

CM Yogi was disheartened by the news that his father is no more. The 89-year-old Bisht was admitted to the hospital on March 13 after he had complained of liver and kidney-related issues. He was taking treatment in the intensive care unit (ICU). At last, he took his last breath at the hospital and CM Adityanath broke down completely on hearing of his father’s death.

“He had multiple issues; his kidneys and liver were not working optimally; he was on dialysis and other life-saving measures and was being treated by a multi-disciplinary team of specialists…,” said a senior doctor at the hospital, requesting anonymity.

He was suffering from liver and kidney-related issues, and was admitted to the hospital with an acute liver infection, doctors said. He also suffered from critically low blood pressure, extreme dehydration and severe infection.

The Yogi government is already going through a bad patch due to the COVID-19 outbreak which has claimed lakhs of lives worldwide and more than 22 lakh people have been infected with the deadly virus across the globe. However, the state government is trying its best to fight against the deadly disease and trying its best to provide rudimentary facilities and ensuring that no one will go hungry.

Yogi is known for his provocative speeches. Uttar Pradesh is a sensitive area when it comes to communal tension and the place is governed by Yogi Adityanath currently.

However, the other side of Yogi Adityanath is rather adorable. He is popularly known as “Saffron Socialist”- the term reflects on his character. He has no charges of corruption even after 2 decades of holding a prestigious position in the Uttar Pradesh government. Though he is the CM of 200 million people in India, yet his family members still lead an ordinary life in the village he was born.
