Heart breaking: India’s first Doctor sacrifices his life while fighting COVID-19 in India

A friend in need is the friend indeed. But today one should change it a little bit to be more relevant by saying – “a doctor in need is a doctor indeed”. Because the doctors are our most wanted friends in the time of crisis. They are the ones who could save us from the COVID-19 outbreak.

Amid the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, doctors, who are putting their lives at risk and treating coronavirus patients, have not been spared by the COVID-19

In shocking news, A 62-year-old doctor in Indore, Madhya Pradesh has lost his life due to coronavirus, probably making him the first doctor of the country who succumbed to COVID-19. It has been learnt that the doctor was a general physician who developed symptoms and later tested positive for coronavirus.

Indore’s chief medical and health officer (CMHO), Dr Praveen Jadia, said that the victim, who was a general physician, breathed his last at a private hospital in the morning.

“It appears that he had come in contact with a coronavirus patient during treatment. We are trying to trace the source of infection,” he said.

He dedicated his life to serving his country’s people who were fighting against the deadly coronavirus. He did not stop treating patients despite knowing the fact that there is no vaccination or cure available now to help patients recover the deadly disease.

In Madhya Pradesh alone, by far coronavirus cases have increased to 229 including 13 deaths, but no infected patient in the state has so far recovered from the deadly virus.

Indore has become a major coronavirus hotspot in Madhya Pradesh after reporting a total number of 229 coronavirus cases.

We must salute the doctor who sacrificed his life for saving others. He did his best to save several patients without caring about his life. Hats off to him!

Unfortunately, for now, there is no vaccination or cure available to help patients recover the deadly disease. So it is advised to take all possible precautions. People should avoid the area where coronavirus infection has been reported. Make sure that you keep yourself away from those who have coronavirus symptoms.
