As we know that Bollywood famous singer Kanika Kapoor is currently going through a bad patch. But a good news has come for her fans that she has tested negative for COVID-19 after being in isolation for a long time. Recently, Kapoor tested negative for Covid-19 after her sample was collected for the fifth time that tested negative.

The 41-year-old singer is currently being treated at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS). The doctor said that she will stay at the hospital for a few more days until she recovers completely from the infection.

This was the fifth sample test that was conducted for the singer in which she was found negative. The singer has to test negative for COVID-19 twice before being discharged from the hospital.

Taking to her Instagram to share a post, Kapoor wrote, “Going off to bed. Sending you all loving vibes. Stay safe you guys. Thank you for your concern but I am not in the ICU. I am fine. I hope my next test is negative”.

While speaking to ANI, Dr RK Dhiman, director of Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences said, “Kanika Kapoor is not showing any symptoms now, she is recovering well from the infection”. Dr Dhiman further said that Kapoor is ‘fine’ and refuted all the rumours of being in the ICU.

The 41-year-old singer, best known for her songs Baby Doll and Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan, showed initial symptoms of the virus. It was found that the actress had a travel history to London. After arriving in Lucknow, Kanika threw a lavish party for her friends and family at a five-star hotel.

Kanika, who returned from London on 9 March, had tested positive for the novel coronavirus. It is said that Kanika came from London and was aware of the corona safety protocols. She did not get tested at the airport even after she developed symptoms. On top of that, she freely attended parties and mingled with a large number of people, due to which she was criticized a lot on social media.

Later, an FIR was filed against her for putting several lives at risk. It should be noted that she hosted three parties after her arrival. She came in contact with around 350-400 families in these parties.
