Gather massive crowd inside Mosques and offer Namaz to Allah, Corona will go away

Amid the ongoing nationwide lockdown, people from certain communities are continuously gathering at mosques to offer Namaz. The Indian government is constantly urging its citizens to avoid crowding public places amid the coronavirus fears, but religious hordes are adamant that they will not comply with coronavirus lockdown rules.

At a time when the rest of the world is avoiding leaving home in the current outbreak of coronavirus, hundreds of people are still making their presence at Mosque to perform Namaz. They are meeting each other despite knowing the fact that India, at the moment, is under complete shutdown to check the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak.

The question that arises here is how these people are allowed to go in a large group? what are the police doing? As mentioned in the guidelines that people can not form any group during the nationwide shutdown to halt the coronavirus epidemic.

Recently, a video went viral in which a crowd of people could be seen outside Masjid saying, “We are not afraid of Coronavirus, we come here to perform Namaz and we are safe by the grace of Allah”.

Talking to TheYouth, one Mawlawi said, “Whenever any calamity befalls, People should move towards Mosque (Masjid) to offer Namaz. Namaz is the only way to get rid of any calamity”. “If people gather in Mosque in a large number, coronavirus will disappear,” Mawlawi claimed.

“We need not be afraid of COVID-19 because we have faith in Allah and he will never let us be infected with the virus. As long as there is Allah to protect us, no disease can harm us,” they said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged his countrymen to avoid social gatherings as part of precautionary measures to contain the coronavirus outbreak, but people outside Masjid believe that Allah is always there to protect them from the epidemic. They say that we do not believe in rumors, we put our trust in Allah.

When asked why they do not perform prayers at home, they claimed that Islam does not allow them to perform Salah from home. When they were asked to avoid gathering, they stated that they can not stay away from the crowd because Namaz is the best cure for coronavirus and it is performed by several people together at Mosque.

While scientists and doctors are working day in day out to discover an effective cure for COVID-19, Mawlawi (Muslim scholar) gives a wrong message to society in the time of crisis. It is not time to promote any particular religion but spread awareness among people to contain the spread of COVID 19.

Offering prayer is good but at this time when the entire world is in a state of shock after the novel coronavirus pandemic impacted lakhs of people’s lives, we should avoid contact with people having cough or cold, avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth. We should frequently wash our hands with soap or sanitizer.
