Saudi Arab doctor fighting Corona Virus breaks down in front of Son, because could not touch his son

We often forget doctors who work day in day out for the well being of society. They know the value of time and work tirelessly to help patients. With sheer grit, dedication and determination, they have set a perfect example for the present and future generations. There is a famous saying that “Doctor is the second form of God”. 

Amid the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, Workers, including doctors, nurses, paramedics, police, pilots, and railway workers are putting their lives at risk and fighting against the coronavirus pandemic. Now, doctors have not been spared by the fast-spreading disease. They too are getting infected with COVID-19.

In this battle, doctors are tirelessly treating Corona patients despite knowing the fact that there is no vaccination or cure available to help patients recover the deadly disease

Hospitals and healthcare facilities are struggling to cope with the daily inflow of patients and lack of beds, equipment like ventilators in the time of crisis.

Amid the worldwide panic over the novel coronavirus, a video, which is doing the rounds on social media, shows that a Saudi doctor had tears in his eyes after he could not hug his own child because of coronavirus struck a chord with people.

In the video, the doctor’s child can be seen rushing to hug his father who was wearing the medical uniform. But he immediately makes a distance with his son and breaks down in front of him.

“The aim of the clip was to make citizens and residents aware of hazards of the coronavirus and to comply with arrangements and instructions of the Health Ministry,” the doctor, identified as Nasser Ali Al Shahrani, told a Saudi daily.

The doctor who is working at the King Salman Hospital in Riyadh, further said he also requested to highlight just how badly the pandemic has changed the family life of healthcare workers.

“All colleagues should avoid approaching their children and families until they wash their hands and take the necessary precautions,” Gulf News quoted him as saying.

In this fight against the pandemic, the doctors and other medical officials are being appreciated a lot for their ‘selflessness’ and battling the disease on the front lines.

The entire world is in a state of shock after the novel coronavirus pandemic impacted lakhs of people’s lives. By far, the virus has affected over 6 lakh people globally and the global death toll has risen to at least 27,000. Thankfully, over 1.3 lakh people have recovered from the deadly outbreak.

In India alone, the confirmed positive cases of coronavirus have surpassed 900 so far, while at least 20 people have died in the country from the infection. Complete lockdown for 21 days has been imposed across the country in order to check the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged his countrymen to stay at home and maintain social distancing during the lockdown.
