2 thousand Muslims gathered to support CAA, Nationalist leader Aijaz Hussain earns praises for his work

National vice president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Aijaz Hussain is working day and night in Kashmir to ensure BJP crops up as the most dominant party in Muslim majority Kashmir. His tedious efforts to consolidate the saffron presence in extreme north region of India, which has only been administered by two dynastic families namely Abdullah and Mufti, ever since its integration, seem to be bearing fruits eventually. As a youth leader, Aijaz succeeded in wooing Local youths in surprisingly large number, towards the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Recently a conference held by Aijaz Hussain and other young leaders, in Tagore hall of Srinagar (Kashmir), witnessed a massive crowd of Muslim youths turned up in support of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). One is bound to be baffled at the fact how Delhi was set ablaze in protest against the very act, on the contrary, Muslim youths in the valley are increasingly coming in support, that too in such a humongous number.

Talking to The Youth, Aijaz said, “Many, if not most of the youths here in Kashmir are nationalist. They want to do something for the country, and that is why several youngsters have joined the army to fight terrorists, Pak infiltrators and serve the nation. There is, however no denying that many of that many of us hesitate to speak up in public domain. We just need support and you will see how patriotic we Kashmiris are!”

Ever since CAA was passed by both houses of the parliament into a law, we witnessed a turmoil in many parts of the country, Kashmir was probably the only exception where everything remained normal. It’s unfortunate that massive rally in Kashmir was organized to lay support to the new Citizenship Act, but it went unnoticed by the common people of India. The mainstream media completely overlooked the development and highlighted only riots in Delhi, which tarnished country’s image worldwide raising questions over brotherhood between the two major communities.

Er Aijaz is also working as the in-charge of West Bengal along with Kailash Vijayvargiya and played a significant role in elevating BJP’s position in Loksabha elections last year in Mamata’s realm. BJP won 18 out of 42 Lok Sabha seats in 2019 against just 2 in 2014 general elections. The electoral outcome proved catastrophic for the state ruling party TMC, which lost as many as 12 seats to the saffron party. The Bharatiya Janata Party got the 18 seats at the costs of 54 BJP workers who were killed cold blooded allegedly by TMC goons.

Aijaz kept on working so that the morale amongst BJP foot soldiers remain boosted. He faced alike problem in Kashmir too where several Muslim youths, who wished to join nationalist party BJP, came on radar of extremists and received death threats. Many BJP workers in Kashmir were murdered by terrorists, but Aijaz never gave in to them.

He himself received threat calls from militants, his confidence nevertheless remains intact, considering he is the first Kashmiri since independence who holds such a high post of national vice president in the saffron party. As he succeeds in cultivating nationalist ideology, terrorists have threatened him of dire consequences on multiple occasions. Aijaz says, “I won’t give”.
