India beat China, USA to end 2019 as No.1 shooting team in the world

Saurabh Chaudhary and Manu Bhaker have always produced magnificent results for the Indian shooting team. They both have won 18 medals last year, with Saurabh Chaudhary dominating the list with as many as 7 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals to his name whereas Manu Bhaker ended 2019 with as many as 7 gold medals to her credit.

As far as overall medals are concerned, the tally stood at 21 gold, six silver and three bronze as India topped all the Rifle-Pistol World Cups and Finals in a sparkling year.

India tops the standings with 30 medals and China is ranked second with 11 gold, 15 silver and 18 bronze for an overall tally of 44 podium finishes. The USA is ranked third with 15 medals including six gold, six silver, and three bronze.

The total number of Olympic quotas stands at a record 15. This not only shows the refection of India’s rapid rise in shooting over the last year.
