A Muslim man from Jaipur strangles his wife to death coz she had 6,000 followers on Facebook

A 26-year-old man strangled his wife to death because she was constantly engrossed in her phone. The accused was identified as Ayaz Ahmed Ansari who is a delivery boy.

Ayaz suspected his wife of having an affair with someone else and she had over 6,000 followers on Facebook that he never liked.

The victim, identified as Naina Manglani, eloped with Ayaz to marry him two years ago and had a three-month-old baby.

A senior police officer said that the couple had exchanged hot words with each other and there had been constant fights between the couple for the past few days due to which Naina had left for her mother’s house. On Sunday morning, Ansari hatched a plot to kill Naina and therefore he called Naina under the pretext of solving the problems between them, the officer added.

The couple spent some quality time throughout the day. Later Ansari took her to an isolated place near Jaipur-Delhi National Highway where he reportedly strangled her to death. Later he crushed her face so that no one could identify her.

It is said that the couple had a job in a finance company where they met each other and came into a relationship. Later on, her parents allowed the couple to get married. The woman is said to have over 6,000 followers on her Facebook page and her Facebook page showed that she loved traveling.

Police commissioner Anand Srivastava said that Ahmed accused his wife of using Facebook excessively. It led to marital discords and they started living separately. Naina had threatened that she would seek divorce.

“He threw her in the roadside bushes in an isolated area and even smashed her face with a heavy object in order to hide her identity.

However, her body was spotted by a passerby and further investigations led us to Ansari. He was arrested late on Monday night,” the officer added.
