Three ISIS terrorists nabbed by Delhi Police, Terror attack averted

Three ISIS terrorists have been nabbed by the Special Cell of Delhi Police. The trio were arrested from Wazirabad where a brief encounter took place on Wednesday, a source said. The police recovered explosive materials from them and took them for interrogation. They are now being interrogated by the police and cops are trying to find out their motive. They will remain in Police custody and will be remanded. 

The three arrested have been identified as Khaja Moideen (52), Abdul Samad (28) and Syed Ali Navaz (32), cops said. They were planning to carry out a terror strike in the National Capital Region or Uttar Pradesh, an official said. 

According to sources, the terrorists have been kept for interrogation in the Lodhi Colony area where the interrogation has been started. Now, the police have started conducting raids at various places across the city.

Pramod Singh Kushwaha, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Special Cell, Delhi Police said, “They had planned a blast in Delhi. They also had a plan of carrying out blast at the Dudhnoi Rasleela mela in Assam as a rehearsal. This fair has substantial number of footfalls.”
A major terror attack has been averted by Delhi Police after the three were arrested as they were making a plan for terror strikes.
