Why not protest against Pak’s atrocities on minorities? : PM Modi asks anti-CAA protesters

PM Modi hits out at Congress, saying they are against providing relief to those who have been brutalized and victimized in Pakistan. The Prime Minister is on a 2-day Karnataka visit.

Pakistan was founded on religious grounds due to which atrocities on minorities such as Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, and Christians have increased. But Congress and its allies don’t speak against Pakistan,” he said at a function here.

The Prime Minister was speaking in Karnataka’s Tumakuru where he unveiled a plaque to mark the laying of the foundation stone for a memorial museum of Shri Shri Shivakumar Swamiji at Siddaganga Mutt.

Addressing the gathering in Karnataka, he said the Congress and its allies provoke protesters for violent protests. They also carry out rallies and stage demonstrations against the efforts to prevent atrocities on religious lines and save women from sexual assaults.

Asking Congress and its allies, PM Modi said why they keep mum on Pakistan’s atrocities, what stopped them from speaking against Pakistan where the percentage of Hindus has decreased to 2% from 23% in 1947.

Hindus have been forcefully converted to Islam over the past 70 years in Pakistan. Recently, a video of Pakistani pacer Shoaib Akhtar went viral on social media in which he had revealed that his teammate Danish Kaneria had faced discrimination during his playing days just because he is Hindu.

Congress and its allies are against CAA which has nothing to do with Indian citizens or Indian Muslims and they spread resentment across the country under the guise of protest.

Strongly defending the CAA, he said it has been passed by Parliament in a historic move, but the Congress and its allies are still opposing the act and instigating protesters for violent protests resulting in damaging public properties.

He further said India cannot leave the Hindus, Christians, and Sikhs who are fleeing Pakistan after persecution, adding that it was the country’s responsibility to protect them.

Modi said the CAA aims to protect the Dalits and tribals in Pakistan. The Prime Minister also stated that the government’s move to abrogate Article 370 is towards ending terrorism and uncertainty in Jammu and Kashmir.

PM said that Congress and protesters opposing the Citizenship Amendment Act must raise their voice against the atrocities done by Pakistan.

PM said, “If you have to agitate, raise your voice against Pak atrocities”
